Just that please; can anyone help?
One main bugbear is that with the “beep beep boop” (with floating bubbles of I dare not think what) drug-crazed-Californian-hippie editor, now prevalent here, there is no provision that I can find for changing the priorities of posts, so that I can manipulate the front page.
Can anybody help a poor 100-year-old writer and editor?

To avoid the “beep, beep, beep” editor, I go to my list of posts, find the one that I want to edit, and click on “edit.” The post then opens in the classic editing mode.
I was going to say that. I’ve nagged the WordPress.com people and they won’t budge. I hate the new editor, and am on the edge of suggesting to move the whole Blog to another server. The only reason I don’t is because it would take days of work that I cant afford.
Congratulations, David & any co-conspirators: You seem to have gotten it back, but with a slight tweak that I like, which is the list of recent postings, in chronological order, below the list of suggested sites. :>)
Sadly I can not help (I have no knowledge of these occult matters) – but I think this is a well written and witty post.
WordPress have also made a real mess of the stats with their new “improved” stats page. How any designer could think the new stats page an improvement is simply weird.
