Who is Michael Jackson? Is he a journo of some kind?
Is he a football star?
My understanding is that he was a musical performer notable for his devotion to plastic surgery.
It used to be one of the qualifications for being a High Court judge not to have heard of people like Michael Jackson or Lady Gaga. Now the learned gentlemen come into court listening to them on their iPhones.
But I do feel inclined to express an opinion. When you are engaged as personal doctor to someone who has been bathing in bleach and having his bones sawn about for thirty years, it is reasonable to see your duty as handing out whatever painkillers might be demanded.
In a free country, it would be possible to cut out the need for a doctor’s signature, and just order the desired drugs by telephone – rather like calling for a pizza. But, since America is a narco police state, the poor man had to find himself a compliant doctor. Had I been on the jury, I’d have refused to convict.

They just wanted a scapegoat because Jacko was famous and one final media sensation was called for. DA’s on the make are one of the many bugbears of american state justice.
