Yes, I do things alter the (local) environment. But I had to laugh at this man.
I for one do hope it’s the Russians and the Boss is right. You see, if its just some boring Western hackergeek havinng a laugh, thrn itll run out of steam and go away soon. The Russians at least can be hoped to keep the pot boiling long enough for the lies to get noticed.

On first reflection I thought perhaps I ought to undertake some scientific research on the subject myself, as it certainly is warranted. But overall the debate over the scientific concensus is largely irrelevant. The only important facts are:
a) in the past one hundred years we have created technologies which rely on fossil fuels, or hydrocarbons, which have subsequently afforded us with a economic status and standard of living which we are not willing to sacrifice;
b) these fossil fuels are with mathematical certainty finite and thus with continued use will one day become exausted;
c) the only two options arising out of this situation are firstly to attempt to refine and utilise technologies as used in the Dutch Republic and other places in Northern Europe in the late Middle Ages/Renaissance periods; or secondly to invest in theoretical, experimental and established technologies which have their pedigree in the Scientific and Industrial Revolutions.
By hook or by crook this is all that matters. Whether or not the powers that be decide to squander billions of pounds on technology from the Middle Ages or unleash modern high science and technologies to solve the problem of energy production is irrelevant. The change will have to be found, or countries like China will sell it to us – after they’ve chosen their price.
I have no evidence that it was the Russians. But I am rather proud of having apparently created a conspiracy theory stampede.
