Frank Field… Social Control Unit (IEA)
“That Hideous Strength” (C. S. Lewis)
You Need to Know… Say “NO!!!” to Frank Field
Westernesse
The Field Deceiver writes of “God’s spies…”
However, G*d is omnipresent, and therefore has no need of “spies”
The G*d-bothering Ur-Thatcherites might keep that in mind. Our minds can access theirs; and Frank Field’s mind is not very nice.

PS: I couldn’t care less about their pocket-picking, as long as they don’t trespass on our lives, our liberties and our sacred honour…
Tony, I still don’t know why you think Frank Field should not become the Speaker.
Who else would you suggest?
The ideal speaker is someone fair minded and respected, but whose contribution as an MP wouldn’t be missed.
The problem with Frank Field as speaker is that he is one of the very few MPs on the Labour benches who has thought about anything and has anything to say worth hearing. In fact on the issues of social security and taxation, he is probably the only Labour MP who is worth hearing.
Remember when Frank Field was appointed as a junior minister at the DSS “to think the unthinkable”, which, of course, he promptly did, and then as night follows day he was promptly sacked. The sacking of Frank Field was a pretty good indicator that the “New” bit of “New Labour” was a hoax.
I can’t think of anybody else. But the Speaker ought to be a good and honest MP of course, who wants to do the right thing.
Says it all, Really…

You are right that Frank Fields input in the House of Commons would be missed – but he is the best candidate for the job so far.
He is an independent thinker and recognises the need for reform. Go for it Frank!
Go away, Mr. Field…
