At the risk of asking a stupid question, what happens if you haven’t got any money? I mean, I appreciate that £900 is a small sum for our rulers, but me personally, I simply wouldn’t have £900 to donate to Gordon’s slush fund. Automatic chokey without a trial? What?
I don’t know. Perhaps it’s to frighten everybody into the sheep-pens, so they can say what a raging success the iD card scheme “is being” – you know….people going up to ministers in the street and begging for cards now, that sort of thing.
